Festival Theatre is a professional theatre company dedicated to staging classic dramatic works as they were meant to be appreciated: as thrilling, living popular theatre, primarily in a pastoral setting that reflects the beauty of the poetry. To connect the widest possible audience to the classics we will also perform in a variety of other settings. Our scope has widened to include classics, contemporary plays and works of a challenging nature.

We enjoy making theatre accessible to children, students and families through school and community workshops and performances. Our popular Family Days allow kids and grownups to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere in which theatre and the classics are brought to life. Family Days have pre-show activites, plus an early performance at 5pm. Dancing and stage combat workshops, storytelling, tours of the set and backstage, plus simple explanations of the show. They change every year, but Family Days are always fun.
