The mission of
the United Way of Oak Park, River Forest and Forest Park is to improve
the quality of life by helping to fund needed human services for
people who live or work in our community. In fulfilling this
mission the United Way places great importance on funding services for
individuals who would otherwise be unable to obtain them.
The United
Way:
*
solicits and encourages contributions from individuals and
organizations;
* addresses funding needs in the community;
* allocates funds to qualified human service organizations
that provide programs aimed at the most needed local services;
* and develops and maintains public awareness of the United
Way and member agencies.
